Acceptable Use Policy
GenieStudio exists to help people tell stories. It must not be used to hurt people, deceive them or break the law. This policy is part of our Terms of Service and applies to everything you create, upload or share through the Service.
You may not create or upload content that
- Sexualizes minors in any way, real or fictional. We have zero tolerance for this and report it to the authorities.
- Depicts real people in intimate or sexual situations without their explicit consent, or is pornographic.
- Impersonates a real person or organization in a way that could deceive — including fake statements, endorsements or “news” attributed to real people, and cloned voices used without permission.
- Harasses, threatens, bullies or defames a person, or reveals their private information.
- Promotes hatred or discrimination against people based on characteristics such as race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, disability, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation.
- Incites or glorifies violence or terrorism, or provides instructions for weapons, explosives or other serious harm.
- Promotes self‑harm, eating disorders or dangerous challenges.
- Facilitates fraud or scams, including fake investment schemes, phishing, counterfeit goods or deceptive “get rich quick” promotions.
- Spreads deliberately false information about elections, public health or emergencies that is likely to cause harm.
- Infringes intellectual property — uploading footage, music, images, scripts or characters you do not have the rights to use.
- Violates privacy or data laws, including uploading other people’s personal data or recordings without a lawful basis.
- Is otherwise illegal where you are or where it will be published.
Voice cloning and likeness
Clone only your own voice, or a voice for which you have clear, written permission. Do not use the Service to make a real person appear to say or do something they did not, unless it is obviously satire or parody, clearly labelled, and does not mislead or harm the person. We may require evidence of consent at any time.
Labelling AI‑generated content
Many platforms require creators to disclose that a video was made with AI, particularly when it looks realistic or covers news, elections or health. You are responsible for following those rules. We recommend adding a short disclosure to any video where viewers might reasonably believe the footage or narration is real.
Using the Service responsibly
- Do not attempt to access other users’ accounts or data, probe or overload our systems, or bypass usage limits.
- Do not scrape the Service, resell access to it, or use it to build a competing product.
- Do not use automated tools to submit generation requests unless we have given you access to an interface for that purpose.
- Do not use the Service to send spam or unsolicited messages.
Enforcement
We use a combination of automated checks and human review. If content or behaviour breaks this policy we may refuse to generate it, remove it, restrict features, suspend or close the account and, where the law requires or serious harm is involved, notify the authorities. Where practical we will tell you what happened and how to appeal. Repeated or serious violations lead to permanent termination without refund.
Reporting abuse
If you see content made with GenieStudio that breaks this policy, email hello@geniestudio.us with the subject “Abuse report” and include a link or description. We review every report.
